Ultrasound at 19 weeks

I had my 19 week ultrasound about 2 weeks ago.
When I got to the doctors office they told me that I wasn't down for an ultrasound.
I was so upset immediately because Jake took off work early to make it to the appointment.
And it was the end of the day and the ultrasound technician was booked for the day.
They told me they would SEE if they could fit me in.
They did thank God.
I would have been so disappointed if they hadn't.
So we go in and the ultrasound technician is looking at the baby for about 5 minutes and I can't even see the screen.
Rylee was freaking out the whole time wanting me, I think she also thought I was getting hurt.
It was cute, but it was ruining the occassion a little bit.
Her daddy calmed her down by the time I got to see the baby.
The woman kept referring to the baby as a she and "her hands" and stuff like that.
So the first thing Jake said was, You know the sex of the baby don't you?
And she said , well the baby is at a bad angle and I can't see anything so I'm assuming it's a girl.
And as she was showing us the babys legs and trying to see the private area she said she thought she saw a boy part.
The woman said that she never gets it wrong because she doesn't guess.
But she said she was leaning towards it being a boy.
So Jake totally has his hopes up, I hope that it is a boy for that reason.
He has started to tell everyone that he's having a boy,
He is really excited, but we aren't going to go shopping until we know for sure what the baby is.
We go back for another ultrasound when I'm 23 weeks.
Lets hope the baby is at a better angle.
I feel like its a boy though, because I haven't had any morning sickness, and I haven't had any weight gain.
So we will seee..
ALSO... on the day I had my ultrasound I felt some of the biggest kicks yet,
When dr. Patel was listening to the heart beat he kicked the dopler machine really hard.
And that night was the first night Jake felt the baby kick for the 1st time :]
It makes me so happy when he feels the baby kick.
He can feel him kick alot more now because he's getting bigger and stronger!

Kick, Kick

Well, I started feeling little flutters at about 15 weeks and I thought this has to be too soon to feel the baby move.
I was still unsure.
Now at 18 weeks I am feeling the baby move almost all throughout the day.
Its exciting and unexpected because I didn't feel Rylee move until 20 weeks.
But they say you feel it sooner with your second because you know what you're looking for.
But I love feeling the baby move, it reassures me everyday that the baby is healthy.
I find out in one week what the sex of the baby is and I cannot wait!
